The Warwickshire & Worcestershire Area Management Executive (AME) on behalf of the Conservative & Unionist Party expresses its sadness and sorrow at the passing of Councillor Peter Griffiths (CON, Evesham North West, Worcestershire County Council). Peter died following a very brief illness on Thursday 28th December 2023.
Mike Rouse, Area Chairman for the two counties, said:
"The passing of our friend and colleague Peter Griffiths comes as a shock to us all. Peter was a very effective local councillor serving Evesham at both the Town Council and the County Council. He was effective in lobbying for his residents, especially on the topic of congestion through Evesham of which he spoke regularly. His loss is a great one and will be sorely felt by Conservatives all across Worcestershire."
"On behalf of the Conservative & Unionist Party I express our sincere condolences, and send our prayers to his wife Marion, his children, and all who knew him. Peter was a tremendous asset to the Conservative Party over many years, always willing to help and always loyal to the party. We will miss him."
Councillor Simon Geraghty, Leader of Worcestershire County Council added:
"I know Peter’s family will be in all our thoughts at this very difficult time and offer my sincere condolences."
