Thank you to all party members, councillors, officers, leaders, Parliamentary Candidates, PCCs and MPs who attended our second Warwickshire & Worcestershire Area Conference, held at Warwick Conferences on Saturday 27th May 2023.
Nearly 100 people attended on a very hot Bank Holiday weekend to discuss where we go after the recent local election results, how we can improve our campaigning machinery, and how we can involve local members in policy discussions. We also heard from the Conservative Women's Organisation on how we can promote more women to stand for elected office.
Delegates particularly enjoyed a video presentation by renowned public speaking coach Peter Botting, who provided an excellent perspective and optimistic rallying call for the challenges ahead.
A date is being finalised for 2024, likely to be one of the Saturdays in the last two weeks of May. Pencil them in!
